Copper cathode sheets

Strategic minerals

The minerals the transition runs on.

Copper, cobalt, tantalum, lithium, nickel, manganese, graphite, tin. Each one is a different product with different payable fields — and a cathode is not a hydroxide.

01 — Products

Eight minerals,
eight specifications.

Payable content, impurities, moisture and packaging decide the price. A tonnage without a specification is not a tradable offer.

02 — Concentration

Supply is held,
not diversified.

DR Congo accounts for roughly 73% of mined cobalt, South Africa 70% of platinum, Morocco about 69% of phosphate reserves. Concentration is the structural fact every buyer prices in.

Cobalt

DR Congo · 230,000 t

73% of world mine production · exports under quotas since Oct 2025 (≤ 96,600 t/yr 2026–27).

Copper

DR Congo · 3.2 Mt

World #2 producer, 80 Mt of reserves — behind Chile's 5.3 Mt.

Tantalum

DR Congo · 51%

World #1 output; the coltan chain starts here.

Platinum

South Africa · 70%

Also 46% of chromium and 40% of manganese.
